About Us

History

The Alexandra Hills Cricket Club (AHCC) was established in 1982, for the purposes of providing the local community with a safe and enjoyable cricketing experience.

The club strives to provide all parents and players with an environment free of harassment, peer pressure and elitism attitudes whilst promoting participation of both players and family members in the game of cricket. It is with this mantra that Alexandra Hills has maintained consistent club memberships for the past 12 years. As a cricketing club, Alexandra Hills has produced some fine young cricketers including:-

  1. Sam Heazlett - Current Qld Bulls player who played (and coached for) a number of junior years with Alexandra Hills and who made their international debut for Australia in 2017.

  2. Scott O'Leary - A former Qld Bulls player who played a number of junior years with Alexandra Hills

  3. Clinton Perrin - A former Qld Bulls player who played a couple of season with Alexandra Hills

  4. Norm McNamara - Current 'A' grade and international Umpire after spending several seasons as a junior player with Alexandra Hills

  5. Damien MacKenzie - A former Qld Bulls player who played a number of his junior years with Alexandra Hills

Mission Statement

To provide a sporting club with associated services to our members and the wider community, ensuring our club will continue to achieve our goals of attracting, developing and motivating junior and senior players to participate in the national game of cricket. We will achieve this by providing a cricket club that is professionally and financially managed whilst remaining a supportive organisation of the various controlling cricket bodies.
